Gout is one form of an arthritic inflammation wherein deposits of uric
acid form hard nodules in tissues. This is a result of an
overproduction of uric acid in the blood or decreased excretion of it
through urination. The most common site for gout is in the first
metatarsal of the big toe, but it can also affect the joints of the
feet, ankles, and knees.
Homeopathic remedies will be suggested, with their corresponding indications, which may help people experiencing gout.

A recent study conducted by the MD Anderson Cancer Center seem to suggest that homeopathy medicine may help fight cancer cells without destroying healthy cells. The MD Anderson Cancer Center located in Houston was rated as the top hospital for treatment and research of cancer patients by US News and World Report. The study found that 4 homeopathic remedies may help with breast cancer treatment. The four remedies and the potencies used were Carcinosin 30C, Conium maculatum 3C, Phytolacca decandra 200C and Thuja occidentalis 30C. The remedies seem to kill breast cancer cells while not destroying healthy cells. The strongest effect came from the Carcinosin and Phytolacca remedies.

Various alternative systems of medicine have gained great importance in last few decades. Among them, homeopathy is one of the health-sciences that was surrounded by so many controversies but kept emerging victorious, thanks to its eternal principles and scientifically proved medicines. Then why many people are still skeptical to use homeopathy in their healing practice? Lack of apt knowledge and intellectually acquired ability to interpret the facts may be some of the reasons. Here is an attempt to nullify some of the myths that surround this beautiful and efficacious science.

It will help if we approach the issue by first considering the biological nature of man (or of any sufficiently complex organism such as dogs, cats, horses, etc.) Certain salient characteristics that are pertinent to homeopathy will be brought out in the ensuing discussion. For our purposes, we first consider a healthy i.e. a normal adult who has no unusual habits of food, daily routine, etc.

Words used by skeptics and many physical scientists in describing homeopathy have always included terms such as quackery; the latest addition to this set is:“witch-craft.” Any success obtained in the clinical practice of homeopathy has been either dismissed or explained away in reference to the placebo effect. From a theoretical viewpoint, the most severe objection to homeopathy rests on the argument that the homeopathic solutions are so diluted that not even a single drug molecule may be present in it. Since we will have much occasion to use the term, let’s give it a short-form: ANBO (Avogadro’s Number-Based Objections). There are two distinct processes involved in homeopathy: (i) conducting the provings, and (ii) selection and application of a suitable remedy. Obviously, the ANBO applies in both the cases.
